This past weekend the D+T staff headed to Atlanta (um, which may or may not be more fun said as "Hotlanta") for the first of the 6 Southern Comfort Music Experiences. Bringing our two favorite things together (booze and bands!), the first SCMX featured performances by Bang Camero, Ryan Shaw, Supersuckers, Ghostland Observatory and Against Me!.
Along with our entire staff we also brought our tour bus and guitar hero. It was a fun day of guitar battles, cornholing and SoCo drinking. And if that wasn't enough awesomeness, our Advertising Director had a hilarious panic attack while interviewing Against Me's Tom Gabel and Warren Oakes (she's like a star-struck 15 year-old for that band). We lost her somewhere in the mosh-pit later that night. We similarly lost an Editor who was eventually found backstage playing corn toss with the children of Mastodon guitarist, Bill Kelliher.
It was quite a day.
For the rest of the SCMX dates and locations check out the Southern Comfort website.
