1QA: Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is a new band from Great Britain. Their debut LP, Signs and Wonders, is available now. (In the spirit of full disclosure I thought Disney was more popular in Europe than it apparently is.)

I fully understand that Disney World has a profound effect on people — I drink around the world whenever I go to Epcot — but did you have to name your band after one of their theme parks?
[Vocalist/ Guitarist ] Richard Sauberlich: Yeah, being English we weren’t up to date with the full extent of uncle Walt’s franchise, and by the time we’d found out we’d already fallen in love with the name. In Europe, however, it is in fact rumoured [sic] that this “Animal Kingdom” is a homage to our music from our American cousins in theme-park form. DON’T POP THE BUBBLE!
