Alex Moore :: Friday, November 20th, 2009 10:30 am

Day 2 of Noah And The Whale’s U.S. Tour Diary finds the Brits in San Diego.

Noah And The Whale recently came over from the UK for a whirlwind romp in the states in support of their new record and film, The First Days Of Spring.

We asked Charlie Fink and the gang to take some photos and document their time in the states. Being photographically-inclined, it turned out very cool.

Guest Blogger: Stuff Hipsters Hate

Guest Blogger :: Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 6:00 pm

Although no one could really accuse D+T of being a hipster magazine, we do tend to tread on the indie side of the entertainment spectrum. That’s why we’ve decided to join forces with up-and-coming Tumblr site, Stuff Hipsters Hate, a blog that breaks down what a hipster is by describing what they hate. SHH will be blogging once a month on this very site, offering insight on everything from music culture to what kind of shoes will get you laughed out of the average Bedford bar. Tune in on Friday for the first of SHH’s posts. Until then, check out one of our favorite venomous pieces after the jump.

A real hootenanny. MORE »

Stephen Blackwell :: Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 4:30 pm

Jay-Z  | The Blueprint 3 | Roc Nation

Himanshu Suri: In this short-attention span, micro-blogging Twitter world the three-step trajectory goes: Album leak, Twitter go buck, opinions made. It’s a shame that I hated this album before I heard it. Then I heard “Empire State of Mind” slowly grow into an anthem on the NY radio and began to perk up at the mention of that McDonalds uptown near City College and freaked out imagining what Bjork would sound like on it instead of Alicia.
