826NYC’s Show Off Your Sugar Benefit Series Brings Together Authors and Musicians

Get ready for some snarky musical hijinks and in the goal of a good cause.
In the spirit of collaboration, 826NYC, the New York based nonprofit aimed at bolstering students’ creative talents, Myopenbar and Tammy Hart have announced Show Off Your Sugar: One Band+One Author.
The benefit, being held at Coco 66 in Brooklyn, will bring together high minds in literature and music to perform and read together on the same stage.
The summer long event kicks off on June 25 with an acoustic set from Norway’s Sondre Lerche, the Brooklyn-based Oberhofer, and a reading by This American Life contributor and author Shalom Auslander.

Topping off the summer on August 11 will be Here We Go Magic performing an acoustic set with pop culture extraordinaire and writer Chuck Klosterman.

More show are to be announced through out the summer. Each benefit will begin at 8 p.m. and cost $16 will all of the proceeds going to 826NYC. Tickets can be purchased at 826NYC’s web site.
