The Pirate Bay Is Back!

About a year ago, operators for one of the best torrent-sharing websites, The Pirate Bay, were found guilty of copyright violations and were forced to pay 30-million kronor ($3.65 million) to various entertainment industry people. The site was shut down on Monday, which led to rumors of the site being shut down permanently. But, there’s no need to worry because the site is running again with a little help from a Swedish bandwidth provider. Dudeism: A Religion that Really Ties the Soul Together

Few movies can spawn a religion. In the last UK Census in 2001, approximately 400,000 U.K. residents claimed “Jedi” as their official religion, so Star Wars might be one. But another made-up religion might take the cake this year, with the birth of “Dudeism,” based on the film The Big Lebowski. Dudeism brings “takin’ it easy” to the next level with ordained Dudeist Priests, the weekly Dudespaper, and a holy book entitled The Dude De Ching, written by Dudeist Preists. The group will even ordain you a Dudeist Priest online for free, without having to spend years in Seminary School. Social Media Gets A Little Weird/Kinky

As if sites like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, the ancient Myspace, and archaic LiveJournal aren’t voyeuristic enough the website, that seems to be creating a real buzz lately, I Just Made Love! is adding a whole new dimension to the modern notion of sharing one’s entire life on the interweb. It seems, to me at least, that some people live their lives completely on social networking websites. “If I’m not tagged in that picture on Facebook I wasn’t there” or “if I don’t post on Twitter about something it didn’t happen” is a common mentality these days, so naturally some people think, if i don’t post on a website that I had sex, then I must not have actually done it.
