HEALTH: “We Are Water”

Nick Nicoludis :: Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 12:20 pm

Warning: Not for the faint of heart, men afraid of having their genitals stabbed or anyone who can’t stand the sight of buckets of blood pouring out of a neck hole.

HEALTH, who I hadn’t really listened to before I saw this video, are back with an insane, incredibly graphic music video directed by one of the geniuses behind Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Eric Wareheim, who apparently is making music videos now (you can check out his Vimeo stuff here). I don’t really have much to say about the song; it’s interesting in the way that it works perfectly with the video, but I probably wouldn’t listen to it besides that. Keep going to see the video. Music Video: Caribou “Odessa”

Nick Nicoludis :: Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 3:25 pm

“Odessa” is the first single released from Caribou‘s upcoming Swim album (due out 4/20/10) and it now has an amazing video to go with it. The nature oriented video, co-directed by Nic Brown of Video Marsh, is as haunting as it is gorgeous. The song feels like warm water surrounding you on the dance floor and doesn’t necessarily connote images of rams hanging out in the snow, a bloody woman looking for something or random winter scenes layered together. Still, it is absolutely beautiful in it’s imagery and cinematography. Maybe it’s the strange juxtaposition of a video that could be used for a number of death-metal bands because of it’s chilling imagery and a song that is dance-floor gold that makes this video so enrapturing. Check it out after the jump. MORE »

Music Video: Weezer “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To”

Isaac Lekach :: Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 12:20 pm

Check out Weezer’s new video for “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To” after the jump. It’s off Raditude (an album title that still doesn’t sit well with me), which comes out in two weeks. 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb is responsible for the cutesy aesthetic. My question is, when did Rivers started to look like Rick Moranis circa 1984?
