Antlers Cover xx’s “VCR”: Listen & Download

Yesterday, while on tour in the Midwest with Phantogram, The Antlers stopped by WPGU, student radio of the University of Illinois in Champaign. They performed a couple of songs from their lauded album Hospice yesterday, “Bear” and “Kettering”, as well as covered The xx’s soulful “VCR”. The three of these, in their quiescent Antler’s glory, can be generously listened to and downloaded through the station’s website, here.

Neu! Releasing Vinyl Box Set Retrospective

After Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger left the band Kraftwerk in the early ’70s, Neu! was born. Being one of the seminal bands in the krautrock explosion, their influence on the world of music is expansive. Dinger, the visionary drummer for both Kraftwerk and Neu! who created the signature “motorik” beat passed away in 2008, and now his preeminent band is reissuing their entire discography, with a little help from former guitarist Michael Rother who will be doing all the remastering.
