Now These Are What I Call Refreshments

The 4th Annual NYC Food Film Festival opens tonight and with it comes a plethora of yummy alternatives to the standard movie theater refreshments. Tonight’s Shuck N’ Chuck opening party will be celebrating the joy that comes from noshing on some seafood while watching a few food oriented films. Quality films + quality food is a great way to spend a few hot Summer nights. The rest of the festival’s lineup, which includes the World’s First Food Truck Drive-Thru, a grits cook off and an in-depth look at the restaurateur Florent, will remain true to the festival creators vision of combining award worthy films with darn tasty grub. And while it might be Summertime there is no need to feel guilty about ruining your bikini figure at a Water Taxi Beach courtesy of a pig ear eating challenge, as the festival benefits the Food Bank for New York City. The festival events are taking place all over the city and run through this Sunday, June 27th. More information and tickets are available at their website. And sorry all your non-New Yorkers, you will just have to live vicariously through our binging the next few days.
