State Of The Union 2010: The Drinking Game

Adam Kearney :: Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 4:00 pm

If you’re tuning into the State of the Union address tomorrow night (and don’t worry, it won’t interfere with the Lost reunion, the network squared that away) try to liven up the rhetoric with a fun drinking game based around President Obama’s most common catchphrases.  So, grab a cool six-pack of American beer, and plunk yourself down for some real participatory democracy.

Here are the rules:

When the President says any of the following phrases, take a corresponding amount of sips.  Also be aware that any circular gesticulation of the President’s pointer finger, or “spooling,” will result in a 1-sip penalty (+1).

***Finger Gesticulation    (1 sip)

**”Change Isn’t Easy”    (2 sips)

**”It Won’t Happen Overnight”    (3 sips)

**”Make No Mistake”    (4 sips)

**”Let Me Be Clear”    (finish beverage!)

With the astonishing rate at which Obama clarifies his subjects, you may find yourself intoxicated enough to handle the latest updates from the Executive Branch.
