Lost Phone Leads To Child Porn Ring

Apparently child pornographers aren’t just an abhorrent breed of filth lower than the smallest single-celled organisms; they are incredibly stupid as well. After 50-year-old Michael Fraser left his cell phone on a bus in the UK, police were able to crack a child pornography ring allegedly 70-men deep. The bus driver discovered dozens of pictures of naked children after a passenger handed him the phone, and he subsequently turned it over to the police. Even though it was a prepaid phone, cops were still able to track down the supermarket Fraser had purchased credit from. The wheel-chair bound Fraser was sentenced yesterday, and is the fifth person sentenced in connection to the cross-country network.
Police searched his house and found 14 phones, six of which held pictures deemed not suitable for anyone to look at. In all, 370 photos were seized on the phones, and contact info for 70 other men across the UK who are now all suspects in the case. The ring involved trading videos and pictures of children being sexually abused.
Police continue to assess the scale of the smut-ring, which is sure to get bigger and bigger. Still, the cops just gave Fraser a slap on the wrist, sentencing him to 3 years community service instead of prison. This means he can’t use computers or phones to send messages, can’t take pictures of anyone under 16 in public, and he has to sign the sex-offenders register.
That’s bull shit if you ask me. Others have been sentenced to as much as a year and a half in prison, why is he getting off so relatively easy? Overall I’m just glad these spineless perverts are off the streets, but seriously these guys should be behind bars.
